Menlo Park

Nestled in the quiet hills of Menlo Park’s Sharon Heights, this layered, light-filled home is an exploration of honoring the past while embracing the present. The homeowners, who had trusted us with their pied-à-terre previously, came back to us for their primary residence wanting it to feel timeless yet refreshed.

Throughout the home, we celebrated pieces with deep sentimental value - a china cabinet full of heirlooms, furnishings that hold family stories, and thoughtful moments that honor their deep roots. Rather than starting from scratch, we edited, reimagined, and built on what mattered most - letting go of dated swirly pink floral wallpapers in favor of textural grasscloths, dramatic inky blue limewash, and modern, artful botanical prints that feel rooted and current.

Nature inspired much of the palette, with soft greens, layered blues, and warm wood tones grounding the rooms and connecting indoors to the landscape outside. Bold moves like a high-gloss crimson wainscot in the Dining Room or the statement Powder Bath, brought unexpected moments of drama and delight. Each space balances tradition and risk in just the right measure.

The result is a home that feels authentic to its owners - elegant yet personal, storied yet fresh. It’s a reminder that the most meaningful spaces are the ones that evolve with us.
