Pacific Avenue Condo

Views of the city and the bay expand over the terrace of this landmark building located at the intersection of some of San Francisco's most vibrant neighborhoods.  After moving to San Francisco from DC, our client wanted a home that reflected a more contemporary side of her while keeping true to her love of color and traditional interiors.  This project is fully infused with her personality, passions, and evolution of style.

Making the space personal was paramount. We looked to our client’s travels, personal memorabilia, family heirlooms, and antique collections to drive some of our most special pieces. Her college yearbooks turned into an incredible 8’ tall hanging paper sculpture created by Austin-based artist Karen Hawkins. Her great-grandmother’s desk is proudly displayed and part of all conversations. Her travels to Mombasa inspired the color scheme and feel of her Primary Bedroom. Her love of entertaining, reading, and showcasing photos of loved ones gave the direction for creating a Library in her Dining Room. Her passion for collecting art created by female artists drove the placement of Canadian artist Janna Watson’s painting “Powerlines Oscillate” in her Dining Room.

Incorporating pieces with a storied past, creating tension between classic design and contemporary edge, watching my client become an “art monster” (her words) made this project so special.
