Lake District

For a young family, the Lake District of San Francisco is a coveted neighborhood offering a sense of community, easy access to family friendly activities, and still bustling with the vibrancy expected in city living. When our clients came upon an opportunity to purchase a renovated and well-maintained home, they went for it. Although previously thoughtfully designed, our clients' new home needed a fresh take and an infusion of their quiet luxury vibe. Our goal was to brighten up and re-imagine aspects of the home with a sense of timeless style and two kids under three.

Interesting silhouettes and textural fabrics drove our sourcing. In the Living Room, we kept our design for the built-ins that flank the fireplace clean and contemporary to allow the floor to ceiling fluted viola marble we selected to take center stage. For Her Office our client identified 1960's vintage chairs that we had reupholstered in lush olive green velvet. The Dining Room received striking Porter Teleo wallpaper to create a backdrop for dinners and cocktail parties. In the Kitchen Lounge we selected indoor/outdoor materials for a playful custom sofa durable enough to ward off sticky fingers but soft enough for afternoon naps. Pops of rich orange and muted lilac create a serene Primary Bedroom for our once color shy clients.

Our clients are art enthusiasts and continue to collect beautiful and interesting pieces. I wanted their home to live on the cusp as a backdrop for their growing art collection and a purposeful partner to the art they have already collected. At one point, we were trying to purchase the same piece of art for the Primary Bedroom during an artist's limited release! It's this type of connection with our clients that makes our jobs so fulfilling.
